Our next meeting will be a time of
fellowship for officers as we look at what God has to say about police work, and
what we can do in order to encourage our brothers and sisters in uniform as we
serve the public. The meeting will be sponsored by members of the Torrance
Police Department, but officers from any and all departments are welcome and
encouraged to attend!
During our March 2001 meeting Pastor and police chaplain, Dean Mayeda spoke on the subject of why God allows evil in our world. "In the light of the events that occurred on September 11, 2001 many are asking important questions about God and His presence in our world. "Evil in the World" is an important topic for police officers, who on a daily basis see the evil of this world. Sometimes because of what we as officers see we question God's existence, and involvement in our world.
